BDPAHSV Member Spotlights is a monthly interview with one of the members to spotlight there achievements, hobbies, and goals. For the month of December the Member Spotlight is Rosalind McCullough.

Where are you from? Military brat but Pensacola, FL is what I call my hometown.

How long have you been in Huntsville? 4 years

What brought you to Huntsville? Working on my PhD in Computer Science.

What other colleges did you attend? University of South Alabama where I received my BS in Information Systems and my MS in Information Systems “Go Jags!” #JagNation

Do you have any certifications? No, not at this time.

What made you join BDPA? BDPA’s mission of insuring access to technical education for both students and professionals aligned with my passion for STEM education.

How long have you been a member? 2 years.

What do you do in your spare time? Support initiatives that provide STEM education for people on the margins of the tech environment.

What do you do for fun? I love to travel and go to wine tastings.

What’s an interesting thing about you that no one else knows? I recently took up Jujitsu.

What are your career goals? To be in C Suite (ex. CTO, CIO, CISO)

What are your life goals? Is to retire to a small cottage on the beach with my dog. And to inspire people who believe they don’t belong in technical spaces, “it’s not all white nerdy males like you see on the Big Bang Theory”.

What is a quote or thought that you would like to leave the reader with? Your true potential is not determined by your peers, your true potential is truly determined by God!
